Firstly, begin by describing the meaning of “Mellis”. “Mellis” means “honey” in Latin. At this store, where good agricultural products are sold, it has been chosen by the store owners and become our reference while designing its logo. “Good agriculture” and “naturality” are the keywords for shaping the design concept. First of all, this place is not a greengrocer! It is a boutique store where particular chosen export products are sold. As “naturality” is the starting point, this issue should be reflected on anything from packing to displaying the products. Therefore, all products are displayed and sold in cardboard boxes and string bags. Furthermore, the honeycombed panels with paper base consist the display units and meshed structure forms the ceiling cover inspiring from the string bags. Because, naturality is a concept which is “missed” and “reminds past”, the use of nostalgic details have been considered important. Old scales and weights which we cannot even see in marketplaces are on the display and contribute the ambiance of the store. Like all display units and furniture, lighting installations have been specially designed for the store.
